How we are different: Most headache doctors work very hard to classify a patient and label their headache. Once this is done the treatment is rather “cook book”. Label the headache and prescribe the drug. Well I’ve been treating headache patients for over 20 years and I honestly can’t remember two that were similar. People have various genetic tendencies for certain types of headache symptoms. There are probably thousands of different genetics variables. People also have different exposures to toxins, chemicals and allergens. They have varying degrees of expose to emotional stress and trauma as well as widely different histories of injury and physical trauma. When you add up all the variables, a one-size-fits-all approach to headaches just doesn’t make sense. And for really tough headaches this approach rarely offers any real relief.

That is why we include metabolic blood and urine testing, food sensitivity testing, neurotransmitter evaluations,  a functional neurological evaluation, and assess the structure of the body and muscle tone.  After this “no-stone-left-unturned” evaluation, we care less about what “type” of headache you have and concentrate more on normalizing the tissues and systems that aren’t working correctly in your body. The idea is to restore your body to the way it was before you started to suffer from your headaches. You didn’t develop your headaches because you became deficient in Advil, or Maxalt or Topomax. Something changed in your body that started the headache process. We’ve developed a system to find out what went wrong and the tools to put things back;like they were before you developed headaches.
